Work started on the Shieldstown Covered Bridge four years ago and then stalled. But now, it's back on track and expected to be finished by fall 2018. For some of us who have been following the disappearance of covered bridges over the past half century, it's hard to believe that over a million dollars could be found for a restoration project like this.
