Amsterdam, Netherlands

There are 30,000 species of scarab beetles in the world. This one is the African Rose Chafer, a resident of Amsterdam's Artis Zoo. You probably know one of his cousins much better: the dung beetle, made famous by the ancient Egyptians. [2015]
