After September 11, 2001, some urban geographers were predicting the end of the skyscraper. Two months later, the Frost Bank Tower was on the drawing boards. It was the first high-rise in the United States constructed after the attacks. It has since been superseded in height by two other prominences in Austin alone. Old Glory will be not be intimidated!
