Jerusalem, Israel

You might recognize these circles as kippahs (in Hebrew) or yarmulkes (in Yiddish). They are skullcaps worn by Jewish men during prayers (and on the street). Normally, they are simply black or white, but they can be fashion statements, too. In fact, they can be political statements: Witness the American flag next to the Israeli flag on one of them.
