That's Nubble Light on a mailbox. Now, you see the place as an island, and you wonder what it might have been like to be the keeper, or one of his children. Extraterrestrials may wonder the same thing about the island we call Earth. In 1977, NASA launched Voyager. On board is an image of Nubble Light, one of 115 selected to teach geography to worlds beyond ours. [2009]
