In Bahrain, the pottery-making tradition persists despite the hegemony of plastics in the modern world. These pots have ancestors in the neolithic, but the potter has ancestors in South Asia. It's a reminder that Bahrain was an ancient meeting ground of Mesopotamian and Indus culture. [1992]
